S/V Tramonto is a 1974 Hallberg-Rassy Monsun 31. She was built in Sweden, and was one of 904 Monsuns built between 1974 and 1982. The HR Monsun was the first fiberglass boat admitted to a museum and is the only model certified by Lloyd's of London for ocean passage.
John Neal, author of Log of the Mahina and captain of the Mahina Tiare III, sailed a Hallberg-Rassy Monsun 31 between Seattle, Washington and French Polynesia for 15 years.
